The management of the institution has announced to the general public and aspirants that the University of Johannesburg, UJ is offering an Advanced Diploma course in Logistics in the 2020/2021 academic session which will commence in June 2020. The University of Johannesburg AdvDip (Logistics) programme is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to students in the field of logistics management. It is for students who are already middle managers, aspiring towards a middle manager so that they can apply the principles of logistics management in their working environment.
The AdvDip Logistics will make provision the development of knowledge and applied competence in procurement, project management, logistics research, global supply management, logistics processes and practices and quantitative techniques. research methodology, research project module and practical simulation module are included to enable students to apply their theoretical knowledge to current industry-related challenges. The programme is going to give students the opportunity to balance theory, research and practical application in their learning experience. The practical simulation module will be a customised module with gamification elements focusing on their skills to apply the theory.

THE UNIVERSITY OF JOHANNESBURG, UJ ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE & ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The current University of Johannesburg’s Admission and Selection Policy will be used to offer admission to students:
- An applicant must hold a relevant NQF Level 6 qualification with Logistics as the specialisation.
- Alternatively, an applicant must have completed the UJ bridging programme for entering the Advanced Diploma in Logistics.
All applicants must submit a certified copy of the following:
- A certified academic record and a certified copy of the highest qualification obtained.
- An updated and detailed CV.
- Proof of work experience.

The UJ online programmes are made affordable and time-saving when compared to other formats. UJ online course tuition is calculated per seven-week module. You are to pay on the online student portal before the payment deadline.

The Applied Financial Mathematics module includes an exemption exam.

How To Pay
- Visit any FNB branch to make a payment into the UJ Tuition Fee account.
- The teller should select the UJ tuition Fee account for the payment.
- Use your valid UJ student number as the reference.
Electronic fund transfers (EFT)
EFTs should be done 72 hours before the registration closes to ensure that the payment reflects on your UJ student account. EFTs made from outside the country’s borders may take longer, foreign students are therefore advised to make payment at least ten days before the registration closes.
The ‘UJ FNB Tuition Fee’ account is available as a predefined beneficiary on the electronic platforms of all the major South African banks. Search for the predefined beneficiaries on your own electronic banking platform.
- Select UJ FNB Tuition Fee account and save that as a beneficiary to make payment.
- Use your valid UJ student number as a reference.
ATM payments will reflect on your UJ student account within 15 minutes. You can use any FNB ATM that can accept cash.
- Select the cardless services option on the ATM.
- Deposit the cash.
- FNB Recipient Name – key in UJ and then space.
- Select the UJ Tuition Fee account.
- Debit cards (cards requiring a pin for the processing of your payment) cannot be used for online payments.
